What are some good sandbox style games?
I would like to exclude, Minecraft, Any gta game. Any sandbox game editor/maker. any Driver game, and any online sandbox games. I know that doesn’t seem to leave much, but I have played games where I can go around and blow a chunk out of the map, and go hide there, or make a tunnel I can go through to get enemies from the other side, I just can’t remember the names, this was about 8 years ago, so I know there’s got to be some good ones like that around now.

Something like minecraft or terraria.
Me and my friend like sandbox games but we don’t know anymore than these games.

What is a good sandbox game for creating things?
I’ve always loved games like Minecraft that allow you to create complicated machines out of simple components, and I was wondering if I could find anything else like that. Criteria:
Simple components with easily predictable behavior.
Intricate interactions possible between components.
At least one of the components must allow the player to interact with it. Something like a button or a lever.
If there is a physics engine, it should not get in the way of construction. It gets annoying knocking over a delicately placed device.

You should try out garry’s mod, although it requires a source game like counter-strike:source or half-life 2, it has a wonderful physics engine that can be run both Windows and Apple! There are lot’s of (user created) “Add-ons” for Gmod. You can buy it with some friends and set up your own server real easy and quick.
